As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, the mission of PRCPA is to provide support to the players and coaches of the Pine-Richland School District's Cheer program including financial support not otherwise provided by the School district.
The PRCPA follows all Pine-Richland Unified Booster Organization (PRUBO) and 501(c)(3) policies regarding fundraising. The Board will not consider requests for exceptions to these policies, which would jeopardize the organization's non-profit status and positive standing within PRUBO.
Fundraising will go toward the good of the cheerleading program. This is consistent with how the majority of Pine-Richland booster groups utilize their funds. These funds will be used for various activities provided to the students throughout the year (as outlined at the Parent Meetings) and items identified by the Program Director & Head Coach for the good of the program. The two primary sources for general fundraising are the Fall Youth Cheer Clinic and Visitor Concession Stand. For this reason, the PRCPA kindly requests 100% family participation in these two activities each year. Enrolling your student in the cheerleading program comes with the understanding of this expected family participation.
There are no individual family accounts for fundraising efforts. Meaning for example, if your student sells 10 hoagies, your student is not "entitled" to the fundraising profit of those 10 hoagies, nor will she have an individual family account reflecting that fundraising amount. The results of fundraising efforts are collected by the PRCPA and used to pay bills incurred by the PRCPA. No fundraising monies will be reimbursed to the student/family as a cash payment, nor can they be transferred to the future cheerleading activities of any family member.
Annual PRCPA General Fundraising Efforts:
- Fall Youth Cheer Clinic - Organized by Varsity Sideline team and families
Details about the current year's clinic can be found on the PRCPA website under the Camps & Clinics tab (during its registration period only).
- Visitor Concession Stand at Varsity Football Games - Organized by Junior Varsity & Middle School Sideline teams and families
Details for the Visitor Concession Stand appear here.
Annual Competition Team Fundraising Efforts:
The Varsity Competition team organizes fundraising to support the team's participation in the UCA National High School Championship held in Orlando, Florida. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Pine Township Community Day
- Richland Township Community Day
- Car Wash
- K – 6th grade Summer Mini Cheerleading Camp
- Corporate & Individual Sponsorships: Information, Forms
Why can the competition team fundraise separately?
All competition team cheerleaders must also be sideline cheerleaders, required to pay all sideline expenses and participate in all General Fundraising efforts.
Participation on the competition team includes additional costs related to preparing for and participating in Spirit Competitions, including the UCA High School Nationals in Orlando, Florida. In order to support these activities, the competition team organizes and holds their own fundraisers. Those funds go into the Competition Fund to support their needs as a whole, not for individuals. This structure has been reviewed and approved by PRUBO.
